Christmas countdown and general chatter
Aghhhh, Christmas is coming fast! Hard to believe that it’s right around the corner. I have not much to spend this year because my paychecks fall on both Thanksgiving and Christmas! How crazy is that?
I need to buy Thanksgiving stuff this week I think. Might as well get it while it’s on sale. I think I am going to just get a turkey breast this year since my daughter really does not like turkey all that much and I am basically the only person here that eats it. She does not like turkey soup either so I usually end up wasting pretty much the whole turkey.
I wanna look around and see if there is a Christmas countdown type of widget for my blog here. I think it would be neat. I will add it in with my snow falling feature. That will look cool I think.
**edit** I did actually find some pretty good ones!**
The holidays are always a stressful time for most. And sadly I am one of them that stresses. Every year I kick myself in the ass for not saving during the year, but next year I will be better prepared I hope. I re-did my direct deposits so I can at least put away $25.00 every paycheck. It’s not a ton of money (I only get paid every other week) but it’s at least something.
So, this time next Christmas I will have a few hundred more to play with. Anything helps I think!
My friends car has been declared totaled by her insurance company (she was in an accident) so my daughter has been driving me to and from work everyday. Can I just say, my daughter is the most amazing young lady I know. Here she is, working and going to college and now, driving her old lady back and forth to work. She is such a great kid!
I am hoping that I can use her car to actually get off my ass and learn to drive this spring! Long story – but no I do not drive. Never fully learned. Started to but gave it up. That’s a whole other post though.
Well, I’m off to defrost some chicken and cook up some brown rice and vegies. Gonna start that gluten – free diet this week. See if it helps my tummy at all.
Wish me luck!

I love the holidays but hate how much money we spend…crazy with three kiddos
Hairbows- I agree. It was hard when my kids were all younger. Now they are older, and although the stuff is more exy, they can understand the cost behind it.
So good to read you again. “Long story – but no I do not drive.” I can’t wait to read the details on that one, but talk slow because I have a simplemindz. You know how us guys are.
Your Daughter is good people. The only place I would drive my mother is (crazy!). Best wishes to your Las Familias.
Hi Mark- Thanks for reading! Yup… I am back. I just can’t stay away! I love blogging and bitching too..lol
My daughter is awesome! She is really good to me.
